Ranches and farmlands are disappearing in the United States every day at the rate of 175 acres per hour. Between 1992 and 2012, 31 million acres of agricultural land has been redirected into development property. To put this acreage into perspective, the state of Georgia is 37 million acres and the largest state east of the Mississippi. As the farm land disappears, the ability to feed our population also reduces. Every item we eat daily is provided by farms and farmers. The mission is to not just protect farmland from disappearing, but to provide sustainable formulas for the future of these farms through education, support and farmland acquisition for the next generation of farmers.
